Lauren May Hemp is a forward for FA Women Super League team Manchester City. She has also bagged 28 appearances and eight goals for the England National team. She was born in August 2000 in North Walsham.

In September 2016 and 2017, she was awarded England’s Young Player of the Year. She also won the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year award in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.  She contributed immensely to the Lionesses’ remarkable Euro 2022 victory.

The Manchester City forward graduated from the  Millfield Primary School before gaining admission to the North Walsham High School.

She was introduced to football at a young age by her relatives and she started playing for her local club North Walsham Youth FC. She later moved to Norwich City in 2008, where her sister Amy Hemp also played.

She played her final game for Norwich in 2015 before sealing a move to Bristol City the following year.
