Former professional footballer and English football manager Tony Alexander Adams MBE. Adams captained both England and Arsenal while playing for them. Adams played center-back at Arsenal for the duration of his 19-year playing career. He won four top-flight division titles with Arsenal, three FA Cups, two Football League Cups, a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and two FA Community Shields.

He was also the only captain to lead a title-winning squad in three separate decades. On December 9, 2011, Thierry Henry, Herbert Chapman, and a statue honoring Adams were unveiled at the Emirates Stadium. Between 1987 and 2000, he earned 66 England caps and participated in four international competitions.
