Eric Weinberg (born 1959/1960) is a screenwriter and television producer best known for his work on the television series Scrubs.
Weinberg attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Following graduation, he worked in finance at the investment bank Oppenheimer & Co. He received his first writing credits in the mid-1990s.
Weinberg has been a Scrubs co-executive producer since 2002, and he has also served as a supervising producer and writer on an additional twenty episodes since the show’s beginning in 2001.
He was also the writer and executive producer of the 2005 made-for-television film Confessions of a Dog, and he has produced and written episodes for the television shows Graves, Californication, and Veronica’s Closet.
His other writing credits include American Dad, Wilfred, Party Girl, Politically Incorrect, and To Something.
He has received five Primetime Emmy nominations, two for the Scrubs team and three for Politically Incorrect, which was also nominated for a WGA Award.
