Aubrey Christina Plaza, an American actress, comedian, and producer, was born on June 26, 1984. She started out her career with improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
In Wilmington, Delaware, David Plaza, a financial specialist, and Bernadette Plaza, a lawyer, welcomed Plaza into the world. Her younger sisters, Natalie and Renee, share her.
Plaza was named after the song “Aubrey” by Bread. Her paternal grandfather, Ismael, immigrated to the US mainland at the age of 17. In Puerto Rico’s Arecibo, he was born.
Both Irish and English ancestry can be found in her mother. She also admitted to being descended from the Taino people. Plaza has been dating writer and filmmaker Jeff Baena since 2011.
She said in an interview with The Advocate in 2016: “It’s no secret that girls like me. Hey, I’m also into them. Both men and women make me fall in love. I’m compelled to.”
When Plaza was 20 years old, she had a stroke that temporarily paralyzed her and gave her expressive aphasia.
