Julie A. Su, an American lawyer who was born on February 19, 1969, has held the position of deputy secretary of labour for the United States since 2021.
She formerly held the positions of California Labor Secretary under Governor Gavin Newsom and Director of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) under Governor Jerry Brown.
Since Marty Walsh, the previous secretary of labour, resigned on March 11, 2023, she has been filling in for him. President Joe Biden formally nominated Su to fill the post in February 2023.
