Judge Judy was an American arbitration-based reality court show presided over by former Manhattan Family Court Judge Judith Sheindlin. The show featured Sheindlin as she adjudicated real-life small claims disputes within a simulated courtroom set.
Its host had loved the way the show was going about and was sad it ended too soon. Her show was one of the most watched in America. Most people had wondered if Judge Judy could speak multiple languages. Well, the Judge can only speak fluent English and has not been heard speaking any other languages.
Sheindlin started her career in show business in 1995 to preside in a new reality courtroom series, featuring “real cases with real rulings.”
Through its 25-season run, Judge Judy remained the top Nielsen-rated court show and regularly drew nine to ten million viewers daily, occasionally besting the ratings of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
