The Met Gala came into existence in 1948 by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert as a fundraiser for the newly founded Costume Institute to mark the opening of its annual exhibit and once every single year the world witnesses a lot of celebrities walk down the magnificent red carpet to display their beautiful and extraordinary outfits at the Met Gala.

The 2023 theme for the Met Gala, according to the organizers, Vogue, the theme will be ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ to honor Karl Lagerfeld, who was a regular attendee at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute and will be a tribute to the legendary German designer, who died in 2019 at 85
According to Vogue fashion guidelines, attendees are expected to take the dress code in one of three directions: Vintage Lagerfeld, modern Fendi, and Chanel or a look inspired by the designer’s own signature style.
The 2023 Met Gala theme will be The event will take place on May 1, 2023, which is the first Monday in May.
