Shalita Grant, an American actress best known for playing NCIS Special Agent Sonja Percy on NCIS: New Orleans, was born on August 28, 1988.
Her appearances on Mercy Street, You, Santa Clarita Diet, and Search Party have also made her well-recognised.

Shalita made the decision to start her own natural product company, Four Naturals, after leaving the series.
Petersburg, Virginia, was the birthplace of Grant. She spent a year studying at Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology before transferring to Baltimore School for the Arts in Maryland, where she was a theatre YoungArts Winner and Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
When she was 17, she won a scholarship to the Juilliard School. With a B.F.A. in drama, she left Juilliard in 2010.
Following her Tony Award nomination, Grant relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television.
There, she reflects fondly on her struggles while trying out for 54 different roles in a single year and briefly turning to bartending when her savings ran out before securing a series regular position on NCIS: New Orleans in 2015.
