She initially opposed Donald Trump during the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries, but over time she earned a reputation as one of his strongest supporters.

She was chosen to serve as the Republican National Committee’s national spokesman in 2017. She served as national press secretary for the Trump 2020 campaign from 2019 to 2020 and then again as senior advisor from October 2020 to January 2021.

For Huckabee on Fox News, McEnany started her media career as a producer. Later, she was a CNN pundit. She started contributing live to Fox News after the Trump presidency and now co-hosts the show Outnumbered.

McEnany spent one year as a student at the University of Miami School of Law before moving to Harvard Law School after finishing her first (1L) year there.

McEnany received the Bruce J. Winick Award for Excellence at the Miami School of Law, which is given to students who rank in the top 1% of their class. In 2016, she received her Harvard degree.
