Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE, better known by her stage name Adele, is an English singer and songwriter. Adele signed a record deal with XL Recordings after graduating from the BRIT School of Arts in 2006.
Adele’s debut album, 19, was released in 2008 and produced the top-five singles “Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love” in the United Kingdom. The album was certified 8 platinum in the United Kingdom and triple platinum in the United States. Adele received both the Brit Award for Rising Star and the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
