Elder joined the Cleveland law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey after earning his law degree. He established Laurence A. Elder and Associates in 1980 to serve the legal executive search market.

Around 1987, Elder stopped running Elder and Associates, but he remained the company’s owner until 1995. The Supreme Court of Ohio Attorney Directory website states that Elder’s ability to practice law in Ohio has been administratively suspended since December 2005 due to a failure to file the necessary papers.

Twelve April, Los Angeles (UPI) – The Hollywood Reporter reported on Tuesday that “The Larry Elder Show” will be terminated after just one season in TV syndication.

The newspaper reported, citing sources, that the program, which is broadcast by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, hasn’t been able to attract viewers since its debut in September of last year. The distributor, according to the article, declined to comment.

The Jane Pauley Show from NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution and “Life & Style” and “Pat Croce: Moving In” from Sony Pictures Television are two other new syndicated shows that have been rejected alongside “Larry Elder.”
