Sandor Clegane (The Hound), Ser Gregor Clegane’s younger brother, is a member of House Clegane. Sandor is known as “the Hound” because of his daring personality, unwavering loyalty to House Lannister, and the three dogs he is clutching in his arms. In the television adaptation of Game of Thrones, Rory McCann plays him.

Gregor shoved Sandor’s face into a brazier when he was a young child, leaving him with terrible facial burns. He now hates fire, his brother, and all knights in general. Sandor, one of Westeros’ deadliest warriors, is Prince Joffrey Baratheon’s oath-bound guardian.

Huge and massively built, Sandor is a man. His long, thin, black hair contrasts with his wide, hooked nose and grey eyes. On one side of his face, which is scorched and scarred, Sandor has thin cheekbones and a heavy brow. His ear is nothing more than a hole and a stump, and some bone can be seen in his mouth. His smooth, dark flesh is speckled with deep craters and crevices that ooze crimson and moist. The wounds have completely entered his throat.
