Weather in Cleveland and weather forecasting are nothing new to Jon. For more than 15 years, he has anchored the weather in his hometown. Jon has a master’s degree in his area and was elected into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002. He served as the president of the Northeast Ohio chapter of the American Meteorological Society in the past.

Jon also educates nearby teachers and pupils about the weather. At Case Western Reserve University and Lakeland Community College, he has taught meteorology.

Presenting his “Atmosphere Adventures” program, which has a track record of considerably increasing results on Ohio’s standardized tests, he presently visits hundreds of schools around Northeast Ohio.

Home attack victim: Jon Loufman

According to Bay Village police, 19 News meteorologist Jon Loufman was ambushed and brutally beaten at his home on July 9.

Since the incident, Loufman has been receiving medical care, and the police said that he was in stable condition. Officers detained Daniel Loufman, Loufman’s son. He is presently being jailed on a $1 million bail after being accused of felonious assault.
