What Happened To Dermot O’Neill?
Irish gardener and Garden Heaven magazine editor, Dermot O’Neill as previously stated is no more. He died on Friday night at St. Vincent’s University Hospital abruptly but quietly surrounded by his beloved family.
It could be recalled that, in 2009, he received a stomach cancer diagnosis. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, however, this was later determined to be a recurrence of a previous stomach ulcer.
He received care at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Beaumont Hospital, and Beacon Hospital. O’Neill received chemotherapy at St. Vincent’s for over six months under the supervision of Prof. John Crown. In 2011, his cancer was deemed to be gone.
It is however unfortunate that he died on Friday, July 1, 2022.
