Arnold Schwarzenegger, the beloved Austrian-American actor and former governor of California, was involved in a serious car accident on January 21, 2022, leaving one person badly injured.

The accident occurred when Schwarzenegger’s SUV collided with a red Prius and rolled over on top of the other vehicle on Sunset Blvd. The injured driver was seen bleeding heavily from her head and was taken to the hospital by ambulances.

The incident occurred just a mile away from Schwarzenegger’s home, and American actor Jake Steinfeld, a close friend of Schwarzenegger, was also present at the scene. Steinfeld, who served as the Chairman of the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness during Schwarzenegger’s time in office, was photographed alongside Schwarzenegger at the accident scene. It is unclear if Steinfeld was with Schwarzenegger in the car at the time of the accident.

Schwarzenegger, a member of the Republican Party, began his political career in 2003 when he replaced Democratic governor Gray Davis in a recall election. During his time in office, Schwarzenegger made significant efforts to address global warming, signing the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 and negotiating the creation of a carbon emissions trading market with England.

Since leaving office in 2011, Schwarzenegger has returned to acting, starring in sequels to The Terminator and upcoming films alongside his longtime collaborator Sylvester Stallone. The two actors will be co-starring in TMZ Presents: Arnold and Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons, which is set to premiere on Fox on April 23, 2024.

Despite the car accident, Schwarzenegger continues to pursue his career in the entertainment industry with passion and dedication.
