Shia LaBeouf, an American actor, performance artist, and director, was born on June 11, 1986.

He portrayed Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, for which he was nominated for a 2001 and 2002 Young Artist Award and went on to win a 2003 Daytime Emmy Award. In The Christmas Path, he made his film debut (1998). He made his directing debut with the 2004 short Let’s Love Hate. He went on to direct the 2011 short Maniac, which featured American rappers Cage and Kid Cudi.

LaBeouf appeared in the critically acclaimed movies Disturbia and Surf’s Up in 2007. In the same year, he received the lead role of Sam Witwicky, the series’ protagonist, in Michael Bay’s science fiction film Transformers.

The actor reportedly took a break from acting in 2021 to concentrate on treatment.
At the time, Variety reported that LaBeouf had cut relations with his talent agency CAA and was taking a hiatus from acting to attend inpatient rehabilitation. Although the Variety report mentioned LaBeouf’s history of “violence and drunkenness,” it was unclear what he was undergoing treatment for.
