Italian professional cyclist Silvia Persico competes for the UCI Women’s Continental Team Valcar-Travel & Service at the moment.

At the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Fayetteville, the Dutch comrade Ceylin Carmen del Alvarado and the surprising Italian Silvia Persico engaged in a duel that was as heated as the one between eventual champion Marianne Vos and Lucinda Brand.

What nationality is Silvia Persico?

Silvia Persico is Italian as of 2022.

In the team relay in January 2022, Persico flew across the track, and her strength enabled the Italians to surprise the USA and Belgium by winning.

Persico claimed that although the team relay victory provided her further inspiration and self-assurance for Saturday’s elite women’s race, the podium finish was still somewhat unexpected.

What ethnicity is Silvia Persico?

She is of white ancestry as of 2022.

Persico had a fantastic first full season of international racing and won admirably in Italy. She competes in road races with Valcar but claims that she prefers cyclo-cross.

“Since cyclo-cross is a more individualized sport than road racing, where I currently spend more time working for others, I prefer it”.

In the future, expect Persico to finish on many more cyclo-cross podiums.
