Morgan Freeman is a well-known actor and entertainer from the United States. He has appeared in several films as an actor, director, and narrator. Morgan is an award-winning actor who has played outstanding roles in a number of international films.

Between acting and dancing jobs, Freeman discovered that acting was his true passion. “My acting career just took off after [The Royal Hunt of the Sun],” he later recalled. Freeman made his Off-Broadway debut in 1967, opposite Viveca Lindfors in The Nigger Lovers, a show about the Freedom Riders during the American Civil Rights Movement, before making his Broadway debut in 1968, in an all-black version of Hello, Dolly! with Pearl Bailey and Cab Calloway. Freeman also appeared on stage in The Dozens in 1969.
