Bruce Lee was a martial artist, actor, and athlete. Are his wise words accurate, or do they reveal a self-righteous side to his illustrious life’s legacy? Quentin Tarantino has been pondering this since the release of his 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which featured an actor posing as the significant figure being humiliated by Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth during a brawl.

What does Tarantino think of Bruce Lee?

“Bruce Lee was kind of an arrogant guy,” In response to his own contentious remarks at a Moscow press conference where he described how Lee is portrayed in his movie, Tarantino said in an interview with Radar Magazine, adding:

“The way he was talking, I didn’t just make a lot of that up. I heard him say things like that to that effect”.

The daughter of the legendary martial artist, Shannon Lee, swiftly refuted this assertion and reacted angrily:

“It was really uncomfortable to sit in the theatre and listen to people laugh at my father”.

Bruce Lee, who popularized martial arts films in the 1970s, was renowned for his cool, unflappable demeanor, particularly when under peril. He was notorious for fending off opponents with a stiff arm and a chilly look.
