Maneet Chauhan is an Indian-American chef and television personality who was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, on October 27, 1976. She is a judge on the Food Network show Chopped at the moment. She worked as the executive chef of numerous well-known Chicago, Nashville, and New York restaurants.
Chauhan was invited to the White House by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for the 2014 Easter Egg Roll Hunt. She is also an invited member of Indiaspora, which welcomed 100 influential Indian American leaders to its inaugural Forum in September 2012. The three-day Forum events were held to energize the community and give it a chance to express its common goals.
In addition to giving the keynote address at the associate degree commencement on the Hyde Park campus of the college, Chef Chauhan, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, was honored as the Ambassador of the Culinary Institute of America for her “Distinguished Service to the Foodservice and Hospitality Industry.”
