The “Last Seen” on WhatsApp in computing, however, refers to the most recent time and moment of a user who was actively using the application, thus WhatsApp.

It is also noted in computing that this particular feature allows you to see when your contacts were last available on WhatsApp, but if you value your privacy, you can choose to hide your “Last Seen” status in the app’s settings. Keep in mind that if you hide your “Last Seen” status, you will not be able to see other users’ “Last Seen” statuses as well.
Furthermore, WhatsApp’s “Last Seen” function displays the most recent instance in which a user was actively sending or receiving messages. The display of the time or date can vary based on the duration since the user last logged on. You can determine whether the recipient of a message is online right now by looking up their “Last Seen” status if you have not heard back from them.
You can hide your “Last Seen” status from others in the app’s settings if privacy is a concern. However, doing so will also prevent you from seeing other users’ “Last Seen” statuses. Although some third-party apps purport to provide this functionality, there is no official way to fake your “Last Seen” status.
Notably, in a one-on-one WhatsApp conversation, the “Last Seen” notification at the top of the screen indicates the last time the person you are speaking with logged onto the app. If they’ve logged on within the past day, it’ll tell you the exact time they last used WhatsApp.
In addition, a user or a liveware has the ability to change who’s allowed to see your “Last Seen” status in the privacy settings. Just note that if you disable your own “Last Seen” status, you won’t be able to see other users’ statuses either. You have to share your own status to see anyone else’s.
