Jason David Frank, who portrayed Tommy Oliver, one of  the Power Rangers in the 1990s children’s television series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” has passed on. He died aged 49 on November 19, 2022.

Justine Hunt, the actor’s manager, told TMZ that the star passed away in Texas. In a statement on Sunday, Hunt confirmed his demise. She did not specify the reason of death or the exact time of death, but she requested for privacy of his family and friends during this dreadful time as they came to terms with the loss of Frank.

Frank was a martial artist who participated in multiple mixed martial arts matches in 2009 and 2010.

Tammie Frank, Frank’s second wife, reportedly filed for divorce from him in August, according to a previous TMZ report. There are four children left behind by Frank—one from his marriage to Tammie Frank and three from his initial union with Shawna Frank.

Frank has played Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers series since 1993, and as a result, he has become one of the series’ recognizable faces.

His character transitioned into the White Ranger, Red Zeo Ranger, Red Turbo Ranger, and Black Dino Ranger after making his debut as the Green Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
