Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has praised the organization for its unwavering commitment to maintaining consistent scheduling across various leagues under his leadership.
As he marks his fifth year as GFA President, Okraku highlighted that the leagues have run smoothly without any interruptions since the suspension caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during the first season of his tenure. Four champions have been crowned in both the Ghana Premier League and Women’s League, showcasing the successful implementation of the scheduled competitions.
Okraku emphasized that his administration should be acknowledged for the seamless running of the championships as planned. In an interview on Asempa FM, he expressed pride in the FA’s ability to uphold consistent programming throughout the seasons.
He stated, “But one thing that we should be proud of as an FA is the fact that we have been very consistent in our programming. We have kept all our leagues on schedule. Over four and a half seasons, five seasons, all our leagues have started on time and have ended as announced.”
Okraku attributed this achievement to the collective effort of everyone involved in the football ecosystem, including club owners, executives, and chairpersons from the Ghana Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Premier League. He highlighted the importance of working together in harmony to ensure the successful execution of the competitions.
The GFA President’s commendation signifies the dedication and hard work put in by all stakeholders to maintain the integrity and continuity of football leagues in Ghana. This accomplishment reflects positively on the organization and sets a high standard for the future of football in the country.
