A very popular American voice actress, writer, and director by the name of Wendee Lee was born in Los Angeles, California. She is also known as Wendee Lee, Wendee Day, and Elsye Floyd.
While in her teens, Lee started a full-time dance career after studying both dance and drama. Her interview on the Magic Knight Rayearth DVDs claims that she began doing voices in school and was disciplined as a result. She performed Vanessa Leeds, one of the operators on the SDF-1 Macross, in Robotech, an anime series produced by Harmony Gold in the 1980s.
Aside that, she collaborated with Streamline on a number of anime projects, including Dragon Ball. She planned to keep dancing while also working part-time as a make-up artist, choreographer, and dance instructor.
