Dreams FC attacking midfielder Sylvester Simba is determined to lead his team to victory in the FA Cup Competition in order to secure a slot in Africa.
Despite facing setbacks in their maiden Confederation Cup campaign, the Still Believe lads made it to the semifinals against all odds.
Their dreams of making history were shattered after suffering a heavy defeat to Zamalek at the Baba Yara Stadium. Dreams FC had gone into the return leg with the advantage, having held the Egyptian giants to a goalless draw in the first leg. However, a 3-0 loss in the second leg ended their hopes of reaching the finals.
Simba, in an interview, expressed his team’s determination to win the FA Cup for the second consecutive time. He emphasized the importance of securing a spot in Africa next season and believes that their experience in the Confederation Cup will give them an edge.
“We will focus on the FA Cup and make sure we eliminate Soccer Intellectuals to reach the semifinals. Winning the FA Cup is our goal so that we can return to Africa. With our experience, representing Ghana in the Confederation Cup will be easier for us once we win the FA Cup,” he stated confidently. Dreams FC fans can look forward to an exciting run in the FA Cup as the team aims to bounce back from their Confederation Cup disappointment.
