The head coach of Nations FC, Kassim Mingle Ocansey, is filled with optimism as his team continues to make waves in their first-ever season in the Ghana Premier League. Currently sitting in second place on the league table with 44 points, just five points behind leaders FC Samartex, Nations FC is proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
Coach Mingle, working alongside his assistant Johnson Smith, has been credited with implementing effective tactics and strategies that have led to the team’s success. Despite a recent setback in a game against Bofoakwa Tano, Nations FC remains determined to close the gap at the top of the table.
In an interview with Connect FM, coach Mingle expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to compete for the league title. “Everyone playing in the league has the ambition of winning it, so if the opportunity comes, we will win the league,” he said.
One key player who has been instrumental for Nations FC this season is Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, who has netted 10 goals in the league so far. With just two goals away from the league’s top scorer, Stephen Amankona, Afriyie’s form has been crucial to the team’s success.
