The Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs has shown its support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections, believing that he has the potential to lead the country effectively as president.
During a meeting with Dr Bawumia on June 4, the Paramount Chief of Nungua and acting President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, Obuade Tse Nii King Odaifio III, commended Dr Bawumia’s calm and composed personality, stating that it would serve him well in leadership.
The House of Chiefs expressed confidence that Dr Bawumia’s leadership style, which focuses on informed decision-making rather than violence or radicalism, will bring positive change to the country. They emphasized the importance of selfless leadership and urged Dr Bawumia to maintain his commitment to serving the nation.
In response, Dr Bawumia thanked the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs for their endorsement and promised not to disappoint the country if elected as president.
