Wayne Swinny, a guitarist for Saliva, passed away at the age of 59 after being rushed to the intensive care unit with a cerebral hemorrhage.
The Grammy-nominated Tennessee rock band said Swinny had passed away on their Spring Mayhem tour in a statement posted on Facebook on Wednesday (22 March) in the late afternoon.

Commenting, the band Shallowpoint said: “Truly heartbroken to hear this. He hung out with us after the show when we played with you guys a few years back. pleasant and entertaining man. His absence will be felt deeply.
The band revealed in a statement earlier on Wednesday that founding member Swinny had been discovered on Tuesday (21 March) morning in a “medical difficulty” situation.
The singer was taken to the hospital after paramedics were called, “where he was diagnosed with a spontaneous bleed in his brain,” and then transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU).
