Wayne Rooney is a British-born professional football manager for Derby County in the English Football League. As a player, he featured for the likes of Everton, Manchester United, and Derby County.

Rooney also featured for the England national team widely referred to as the Three Lions. He captained the side for major tournaments and ended his national career as the all-time leading scorer for the team.

He started out as a boxer and still spars occasionally for recreation purposes. He is also a huge fan of Leeds Rhinos in the rugby league.

Wayne Rooney was born in the city of Liverpool. He lived there with his family and gained his education at the Our Lady and St Swithin’s primary school with his two brothers.

Growing up in the city of Liverpool, Wayne Rooney became a staunch supporter of the Everton Football Club and regularly attended games with his family at Goodison Park. He then went on to enroll in the Everton Youth Academy where he excelled.

Rooney moved up through the youth ranks in the Everton Academy to make his debut for his hometown club in August of 2002 against Tottenham Hotspurs and assisted the first goal of a four-goal thriller.
