After weeks of speculations, accusations and court threats and all the brouhaha, MP for Assin North, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong yesterday premiered his long-awaited video titled “Who Watches The Watchman” which is meant to expose ace Ghanaian undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The video which was screened live on the MP’s own television station NET2 TV revealed the face of the respected journalist and also exposed certain dealings and alleged extortions he had made from most of his victims caught in his undercover work.
Up until now, no one had seen the face of the award-winning journalist who always has a trademark of beads he uses to disguise his face.
Apparently, that is no more because his actual face was caught in the screened video.
There was a large crowd on the premises of the Kencity Media Group, the parent company of NET2 TV and Oman FM, to watch the premiere of the video.
In the video, Anas can be seen negotiating and blackmailing victims of his investigation to wire an amount of money into an untraceable account so that he (Anas) does not expose them on his subsequent videos.
The history between the journalist and the member of Ghana’s parliament started when Anas exposed the corrupt dealings in the Ghana Football Association which impeached various top officials including the Head of the association, Kwesi Nyantakyi who subsequently resigned.
Kennedy Agyapong then also threatened to reveal the real pictures of Anas and his equally corrupt way of investigating people.
