As part of Operation Yewtree in March 2013, Harris was one of twelve persons detained in England and interrogated about alleged previous sexual offences.

Harris denied any misconduct, and the accusations were unrelated to those levelled against media figure Jimmy Savile.

The trial was delayed multiple times, and the judge’s summary took three days. On June 19, 2014, the jury retired to deliberate their decision. Harris was convicted of all 12 charges of indecent assault on June 30.
