English theatre and film director who was based in France from the early 1970s on, Peter Brook has passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was a multiple award-winning film director who won multiple Tony and Emmy Awards, a Laurence Olivier Award, the Japanese Praemium Imperiale, and the Prix Italia. He was often referred to as “our greatest living theatre director”.
He died at the age of 97 but as it stands, his cause of death has remained unknown.

In 1951, Brook married actress Natasha Parry. They were happily married for more than six decades until they sadly parted ways after the actress passed away of a stroke in July 2015, aged 84. They had two children: Irina, an actress, and director, and Simon, a director.
