Newton-John, who received a breast cancer diagnosis in 1992, passed away on Monday in California.

Apparently there are speculations that she died of breast cancer after a lengthy battle with the canker at age 73 . She was survived by her husband John Easterling and her only daughter Chloe Lattanzi

More than 25 years ago, after being diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time, Olivia Newton-John used her fame to raise awareness of the illness, which affects more than 2 million women worldwide. Millions of dollars were raised through her efforts, which included a charity walk along the Great Wall of China, for a cancer research center that bears her name.

In response to Olivia Newton-John’s passing , the members of ABBA have expressed their condolences. When they both participated in Brighton’s 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, ABBA and Olivia first met.

Naturally, that year’s winning song was Waterloo by ABBA, with Olivia’s song Long Live Love coming in at fourth.

The band shared tributes from singers Frida Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog on Tuesday morning in remembrance. Though, Olivia Newton-John wasn’t a part of the Swedish group they performed together on many gigs.
