His biological parents were Denise Oher and Michael Jerome Williams. They had 12 children and did not bother to raise any of them properly.

Oher’s mother was a crack cocaine addict who was high almost all the time. His father was also a jailbird who couldn’t stay out of prison. He was killed by an inmate while serving a jail term.
