Warwick Davis’ family has announced a touching project in honor of his late wife, Sammy, after the actor’s concerning message on social media.

The 54-year-old actor recently lost his beloved wife, Sammy, last month at the age of 53.

In a post shared by their children, Annabelle and Harrison, they revealed that Sammy’s passion for helping the dwarfism community, especially school-age children, inspired them to start a project called ‘Sammy’s Helping Hands’. The family has set up a JustGiving page to raise funds for Little People UK, a charity close to Sammy’s heart.

“We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received. Many have asked where they can donate or send flowers. Through her work with Little People UK, Sammy was passionate about helping younger members of the dwarfism community, particularly those in school,” the family said in a statement.

The project aims to continue Sammy’s legacy of boosting confidence in the community by providing support such as correctly fitting uniforms, school equipment, educational scholarships, and more. The funds raised will be administered by trustees within LPUK, including Warwick, Annabelle, and Harrison.

Warwick expressed his devastation over Sammy’s passing, saying, “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.” The couple faced challenges together, including the loss of their baby Lloyd due to complications from inherited dwarfism and Samantha’s own battles with health issues, including surviving sepsis in 2019.

The family has already raised over £13,000 for Sammy’s Helping Hands, and they are grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, fans, and well-wishers. The legacy of Sammy’s kindness and passion for helping others will continue through this meaningful project.

For those interested in supporting Sammy’s Helping Hands, you can visit the JustGiving page to make a donation or simply share the message to spread awareness for the charity and the important work they do.
