The Ghana Police Service has made progress in their investigation into the disturbance that occurred at the Kukuom registration center during the ongoing Limited Voter Registration exercise in the Ahafo Region.
According to the Police, suspect Muniru Muhammad has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the attack that resulted in the injury of one person at the registration center.
In addition to Muniru Muhammad, the Police are also pursuing other suspects involved in the disturbance, including those who allegedly assaulted three individuals. A statement from the Police assured the public that all suspects in these cases will be apprehended and brought before the court to face justice.
Earlier, Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, was arrested for his alleged role in the disturbances at Kukuom. One person was injured during the incident and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
The Police have been active on social media, providing updates on the ongoing investigation and arrests.
