Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the 2020 running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to cast decisive ballots against the current administration in the elections scheduled for December.
According to her, the NDC needs to win by a wide margin to remove the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) from office and prevent a run-off in this year’s general election.
“If you must cast a ballot, do so with conviction. We are not going anywhere, therefore it is not about narrow margins to go to a runoff.
To win, we ought to cast our votes. It also relies on the arrangements we put in place,” she remarked.
Last Monday in Accra, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang gave a speech at the “Voice-Out, Vote-Out (VOVO)” project launch.
Under the NDC’s sponsorship, the project aims to enlighten, educate, and motivate Ghanaians to voice their opinions and support national parliamentary candidates as well as the party’s flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama.
She pushed the group to cooperate with party institutions to prevent split groups and to work together to win the election.
