Mark Sinclair (born July 18, 1967), better known by his stage name Vin Diesel, is an American actor. His work as Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious series has made him one of the highest-paid actors in the world.

Diesel and Paul, his fraternal twin brother, later moved to New York City, though. His mother, the astrologer Delora Sherleen Vincent, was a Sinclair.
His white mother and his adopted father, Irving H. Vincent, a theatre manager, and acting coach, raised him. Diesel claims that his ethnicity is “ambiguous.” His mother is of German, English, and Scottish descent.
