Toronto FC ended a three-game losing streak in Major League Soccer with a thrilling victory over the New England Revolution, thanks to a spectacular goal from Ghanaian forward Prince Osei Owusu in the 66th minute.

The match, which took place at BMO Field in front of 24,108 fans, saw Toronto FC struggle to break through New England’s defense. However, goalkeeper Sean Johnson’s crucial saves kept the game tight.

An opportunity presented itself when a defensive mistake allowed Owusu to showcase his skills. A failed clearance from Ryan Spaulding fell to substitute Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, who set up Owusu for an acrobatic backheel goal.

Despite taking the lead, Toronto missed a chance to extend it when Federico Bernardechi’s penalty was saved by New England goalkeeper Henrich Ravas in the 76th minute.

Owusu now has four goals for the season, following his impressive performance in the previous match against Charlotte where he scored twice as a substitute.

The victory is a much-needed boost for Toronto FC after a disappointing run of results, and Owusu’s goal will be remembered as one of the highlights of the season for the team.
