Actor Justice Hymns, better known by his stage as Mmebusem, from Kumawood, has announced his withdrawal from the acting scene. In viral comedy sketches, the man who swiftly took on the role of Ghana Jesus has now adopted a new persona: the Holy Spirit.

Mmebusem appears to have turned his usual home into a prophet over a set period of time in two pictures and pieces of art that he offered.

A short while ago, Mmebusem underwent a religious shift. His comic representation of Jesus Christ drew praise and criticism. In an interview with radio broadcaster Abeiku Santana, he revealed that he had gone to the “Father” and asked for heavenly guidance. After careful consideration, the Holy Spirit anointed him shortly after.

The way Mmebusem portrayed Ghana Jesus provoked strong opinions. While some saw him as a blasphemer, others valued his unique approach to leisure. Now that the Holy Spirit is involved, he is subject to further examination.

Critics contend that because the Holy Spirit is still revered in Christian theology, he should really proceed with extreme caution. However, different people interpret his change as a creative expression and a continuation of his goal to collaborate and inspire imagination.

Whether or not Mmebusem’s path strikes a chord with believers or raises questions, only one level is selected: his capacity to seize opportunities remains unparalleled. From Ghana’s Jesus to the Holy Spirit, Justice Hymns leaves a lasting impression on Ghana’s cultural landscape.
