The spokesperson for late John Kumah, Bismarck Owusu Twumasi has disclosed the circumstances under which the Deputy Finance Minister lost his life.
Addressing the press at John Jumah’s residence at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, Bismarck disclosed that the member of parliament had been battling illness for some time now.
He said the issue started deteriorating and as such they swiftly booked next available flight for him to go to Germany for proper treatment.
According to him, they mobilised an ambulance to transport him from Kumasi to Accra.
But before transporting him, he was declared unfit to board flight. Bismarck said they invited one of his personal doctors to spend a night with him in Kumasi.
They later mobilised an ambulance to transport him to Accra but upon reaching Suhum in the Eatern Region of Ghana, they received a call from his driver that he had passed away.

John Kumah, who is the MP for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 45. He is survived by his wife and six children.
