Victor Boniface’s rollercoaster season reached new heights as he scored the opening goal in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-0 victory, securing their first Bundesliga title.

The club’s unbeaten league campaign was nothing short of impressive, leaving fans pouring onto the pitch in celebration.

Despite the triumph, the 23-year-old Nigeria striker had his sights set on two other competitions – the Europa League and the German Cup final. Boniface acknowledged the great achievement in the league but emphasized the importance of aiming for more silverware for the fans.

Boniface’s season had its share of ups and downs, starting strong with eight goals in his first seven games after his move from Union Saint-Gilloise. However, a groin injury ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations, leaving him devastated as the Super Eagles finished as runners-up.

The striker’s journey in Europe has been marked by injuries and missed opportunities, but he has shown resilience and determination. His success at Leverkusen, alongside other African players in the team, has attracted attention across the continent.

Now fully recovered from his injury, Boniface is eager to add more accolades to his collection, with crucial matches coming up in the Europa League and the German Cup final. Despite speculations of a potential move away from Germany, Boniface remains focused on his current club and aims to continue his successful trajectory.
