Vicente Fernández was a Mexican musician, songwriter, actor, and film producer who died on December 12, 2021.
He became a cultural legend in Mexico, having released more than 100 songs and contributing to more than 30 films under the moniker Chente. Rancheras and other Mexican favorites were in his repertoire.

He was a strong anti-Trump advocate. On April 16, 2016, at the conclusion of his farewell concert, he declared that he would spit on Donald Trump, the then-Republican Party primary candidate for the United States presidential election. Later that year, Fernández released a song named El Corrido de Hillary Clinton in honor of Hillary Clinton.
