After many weeks of intense debate, Charterhouse Ghana Limited – the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards – have released the official list for the nominees for the “Artiste of the Decade” category.
According to the organisers, the “Artiste of the Decade” is the artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity over the last decade. The artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album within the last 10 years.
The nominees for the “Artiste of the Decade” category are Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Nacee and No Tribe, Joe Mettle, Efya, Becca, R2Bees and Samini.
This year’s event has been scheduled for Saturday, May 18 at the Accra International Conference Centre (the venue is subject to change, according to the organisers).
