The decoration of rap heavyweight, Sarkodie continues unabated as he wins Best Rapper of the year at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs). Sarkodie’s annexation of the award increases his tally to a record 5 wins with respect to the Best Rapper of the Year category.
The category, since its inception in 2010 has been won by Sarkodie in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and this year, 2018.
Sarkodie won the award with his rap performance on Light It Up, one of the records off his Highest album. He beat Teephlow, Lil Shaker, Ko-Jo Cue, Eno Barony and his signee, Strongman to clinch the accolade.
