An eighteen-year-old was called before the community elders by the Amankrado in Onomabo, Eastern Region, in an unprecedented turn of events due to an act that was considered insulting.
The young man was reportedly passing gas at the Amankrado’s home, which is why the summons was issued, according to reports from Accra-based UTV.
The Amankrado expressed shock at the young man’s daring to purposefully letting gas leak into his home. In addition to the disagreeable smell, he was worried about the possible health effects on himself and the members of his home who might have accidentally breathed in the noxious gas.
When the elders met to discuss the issue, though, they wrote it off as unimportant and didn’t think it was worth their time. The Amankrado were not pleased with this choice, and this resulted in a clash with Ayi Kwaku, the Abusuapaning.
When the argument got out of hand and turned physical, other elders had to step in to help calm things down.
