A man from Nsawam has been spotted in the hearts of Accra, Abossey Okai, busily selling some of the wild animals he keeps on his land.
Solomon Dieudonne Ametepe, the gentleman in question, has an array of exotic pets including two Nile crocodiles, which he considers as his pets.
Interestingly, from just a hobby of caring for these wild animals, Solomon has made a business out of it.
He now sells some of them to pay for his ward’s education. According to him, he has many more animals on his land but has been very cautious in bringing them out due to laws regarding wildlife.
Solomon revealed that he is in the process of obtaining the necessary permits to set up a mini-zoo where he can have tamed animals that people can go and see.
Solomon also shared that he had once aspired to join the Ghana Armed Forces but things did not go as planned. He turned his attention to learning about herbs, which he uses to support his family. He also teaches kickboxing, Taekwondo, and self-defense in schools.
The animals he sells are only bought by wildlife advocates, and he is very particular about the buyers he sells to.
He has already sold a parrot that talks and can fly to a chief in his village but had to return for the animal after he realized the chief was treating the bird badly. Despite the challenges he has faced, Solomon is determined to continue caring for his animals while also providing for his family.
