Tyler, the Creator is the stage name of Gregory Okonma Tyler, an American rapper, musician, and record producer born on March 6, 1991. He is currently 31 years old.
He is a founding member of the renounced musical group Odd Future.
Okonma, Hodgy, Left Brain, and Casey Veggies co-founded the alternative hip-hop group Odd Future in 2007. In November 2008, they self-released The Odd Future Tape, their debut mixtape.
Okonma self-released Bastard, his debut mixtape, on December 25, 2009. On Pitchfork Media’s list of the Top Albums of 2010, the mixtape eventually came in at number 32.
The “Yonkers” music video by Okonma was made public on February 11, 2011.
Many online media outlets took notice of the video. A third stanza was added to the extended version, which was made available on iTunes.
