Two-week remand ordered for Funny Face

The Ofankor Circuit Court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region placed comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, also known as Funny Face, in police detention for two weeks.

The court’s verdict came after Funny Face appeared before it on allegations of drunk driving and irresponsible driving.

The comedian was arrested on Sunday evening after reportedly ramming his vehicle into a gathering of people at Kasoa Kakraba, injuring five.

According to the court’s order, Funny Face will be held in police custody for the stated period of time awaiting further legal procedures.

Funny Face was engaged in a horrific accident at Kasoa, located in the Central Region.

He was accused of knocking down five persons near Kakraba Junction.

A woman and her two children were among the dead, as were two other motorcyclists he collided with following the incident.

According to accounts, he was inebriated and traveling at high speeds on March 24, 2024, which caused the incident.
