Two armed robbers were sentenced to 30 years each in prison with hard labor by the Bekwai Circuit Court, which is presided over by His Honour Isaac Apeatu.
On November 26, 2022, at Tewobabi, Adansi Asokwa area, Ashanti, the two attackers ambushed an Accurate Giant Company vehicle.
A sum of GH¢40,500 was taken by them. Rocky Nyamedi, 29, and Martin Asante, 26, have been identified as the two robbers.
The prosecution claimed that Rocky Nyamedi, an employee of the business, was the thief’s mastermind.
According to the prosecution, G/Sgt. Eric Frimpong is the policeman who located and detained the two accused.
Nyamedi was taken into custody in Esereso, Ashanti’s Bosomtwe District, and Martin Asante was captured in Bibiani, in the Western North.
